As with all SEV-approved dermal fillers, Juvéderm® Voluma® XC is made of hyaluronic acid gel. Unlike other fillers, Voluma is designed to truly sculpt the face. It is a little thicker and more substantial than the fillers we would use for wrinkles or lip augmentation.

The gel is injected strategically beneath the surface of the skin. Because of its more robust texture, it can adjust the features in a very precise manner, so it’s ideal for the cheeks, chin, and jawline.

How Long Does Voluma Last?

Voluma is one of the longest-lasting hyaluronic acid fillers on the market. Its results can last for up to 2 years, although this also varies from person to person.

Hyaluronic acid is a material that exists in the human body naturally. With fillers, the body eventually metabolizes the injected hyaluronic acid. This rate varies greatly from person to person, so we usually recommend coming back for a touch-up a year after your first treatment.

Juvéderm Voluma Cheeks

Juvéderm Voluma Jawline

Juvéderm Voluma can also be used as a jawline filler. It’s great for jaw sculpting, reducing the appearance of jowls, or adjusting facial symmetry and the overall balance of your face shape.

Juvéderm Voluma Chin

Juvéderm Voluma was actually the first dermal filler approved by the FDA for chin sculpting. When used in the chin, it’s perfect for balancing or lengthening the face and defining the jawline. It can also help reduce a double chin.

Can You Get Juvéderm Voluma In Lips?

We generally don’t treat the lips with Juvéderm Voluma. There are other dermal fillers, like Juvéderm Ultra XC, Volbella, and Restylane Kysse that do a much better job of enhancing the lips.

When you book your lip filler appointment, you’ll get a full consultation. Your nurse will make sure to use the dermal filler that’ll give you the results you want.

At What Age Can You Get Juvéderm Voluma?

You must be at least 18 years old to consent to receive dermal fillers. However, keep in mind that Juvéderm Voluma is only recommended for ages 22 and above.
